As you may well have been able to work out just from its name, e-Sword is a free, effective and quick tool to let you know the Bible at first hand.

The e-Sword program has a friendly and intuitive interface that will make it even easier to learn the secrets of the Bible. e-Sword lets you read each one of the books in the Bible, copy and paste paragraphs to later study them, a search engine, etc.

The e-Sword program lets you import files in RTF and TXT, use a text editor and include your own comments, change words for synonyms, etc. On the e-Sword website you can get a large list of add-ons for the program, like Bibles in various languages, comments, dictionaries, graphics, etc.
